A Rationale for the Approach to the Brief.

Research

I have researched the effects and causes of climate change.I have researched greenhouse gases and human activity and how they cause climate change. I have also researched temperatures,hurricanes and sea levels and how they affect the earth. I found that the effects have been increasing over time due to greenhouse gases and human activity. I have found that if the temperature continues to increase then the arctic is most likely to become ice free. This will cause sea levels to rise and eventually flood the earth. I have also researched how temperatures affect hurricanes. The power of hurricanes will increase as the weather progresses

Most of my information came from https://climate.nasa.gov. I really enjoyed researching on this website because it was very helpful and easy to use. It looked nice and appealing. It was a fine example of what I wanted my website to look like, I did not like https://www.epa.ie/climate/communicatingclimatescience This website was too complex. It had a lot of information but it did not look appealing. It was very untidy and it gave me headaches. I also used this website https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/sdg13 I thought it very colourful although it was very verbose and it was hard to find exactly what wanted for my project I feel the best website out of the three above was the https://climate.nasa.gov

Response to the Brief:

I considered multiple things for my project. I wanted to cover both the causes and the effects of climate change. For causes I was going to talk about the greenhouse gases and human activity I would talk about how they were the main problems for our climate. I would also talk about the effects of climate change to prove that it is a serious problem that needs to be dealt with accordingly some of the effects of climate change that I would talk about are Temperatures,Hurricanes and Sea levels.

I will have four graphs one for The average temperatures each summer in Ireland from 1990 to 2012 The yearly average intensity of hurricanes Yearly average of greenhouse gases for Poland from Increase in sea levels Each of my graphs came from data sets I found on the internet. My data set for temperatures was found on My data set for hurricanes was found on My data set for greenhouse gases was found on My data set for sea levels was found on I picked all these data sets above because they were the ones I thought would be the easiest to clean. Not all the information on the datasets where useful to me so i deleted all the extra data that I saw as unnecessary Once I have my graphs I will use my carousel template that I got from one of my previous projects to make my website on glitch.Each of my pages will use the same carousel template The pictures i will have i will get from google and other websites
